Czech Centres and Radio Prague International have jointly prepared a series of 10 short videos thematizing the current Czech gaming scene. Today we present the first of them – the opening episode, in which the founder of the Czech and Slovak Games Archive, Miroslav Žák, and the director of the Czech Game Developers Association, Pavel Barák, introduce us to the current Czech gaming scene.
VISIONGAME.CZ – ARCHIVE OF CZECH AND SLOVAK GAMES AND GAME DEVELOPERS

An internet archive founded by the entrepreneur Miroslav Žák. Visiongame’s focus is on mapping the history of Czech and Slovak games and archiving all released and unreleased computer games, studios and authors. They are also building a physical collection of games. In addition, Visiongame are interviewing game developers in order to record their experience, memory and expertise, as they are important contributors to the audiovisual heritage.

CZECH GAME DEVELOPERS ASSOCIATION
(2018 / Prague)
The Association brings together nearly thirty studios and focuses on the development of the Czech game industry. Since their establishment, they have initiated several projects focusing on education, employment, international presentation and media coverage. The Association’s extensive research and data collection contributes to the continuous mapping of the Czech computer games industry. They publish a regularly updated Game Industry Study. Their members include the largest and most successful studios as well as up-and-coming companies.
