CHARLES GAMES
(2020/ Prague)
The internationally acclaimed independent game studio, a spin-off of Charles University in Prague, is famous for the historical games Attentat 1942 (2017) and Svoboda 1945: Liberation (2021). Together with the Czech NGO People in Need, they have come up with innovative ways to reflect important social issues in games, such as cyberbullying in DigiStories: Nela (2021) and climate change in Beecarbonize (2023). For Iraqi Kurdistan, the studio has created Ashti (2022), a game about water management. They are currently developing a game telling the stories of children affected by war, whether in the Balkans, Syria or Ukraine.
