The action-adventure game set among gangsters is a remake of the original Mafia, a noir game from 2002, and represents a thoroughly revised first part of arguably the most legendary Czech game series. The player finds himself or herself in the Prohibition era in the USA and is tasked with reaching the highest levels of the mafia and organised crime. The main character, Thomas Angelo, starts out as a taxi driver, but fate quickly brings him together with the Italian mafia. In this role, the player encounters a dangerous underworld full of action and tempting, hard to resist offers.
In the game, car radios mimic the emerging technology of the 1930s. Once the radio warms up, the player can listen to a wide range of popular songs from the era.
Part of the original soundtrack was recorded in Prague (string parts) and the rest in Nashville (USA). The original main theme was recorded by the Brno Philharmonic.
The game includes hidden collectibles including period pulp magazines.
Create a remake based on the 20-year-old first episode, make it entertaining and playable in this era.
