The first Czech interactive audio game based only on sound. Thanks to its simple control with finger movements on the screen of a mobile phone, it is fully accessible even to visually impaired players. The game tells the story of a policewoman who is blackmailed into stealing evidence 111 from the police archive and bringing it to a remote hotel, where no one can be trusted. The mysterious atmosphere and soundscapes of the coming storm are of a high standard and at a cinematic level of quality.
The game uses “binaural audio,” which is mainly associated with virtual reality and gives the listener the feeling of being surrounded by sound.
The Czech version of the game takes place in the USA, whereas the English version takes place in the UK. The main reason for this is having cast actors with British accents.
The script of the game is almost 400 pages long.
The initial scepticism of people and potential investors about the concept of the game.
Casting actors for the English version of the game during the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Play By Ears
Play By Ears was founded by Michal Zátopek, a programmer, and Tomáš Oramus, a film sound engineer. The two founders are in long-term cooperation with Vladimír Mareček, a screenwriter. Their focus on audio games combines their passion for storytelling with a desire to show that all it takes is sound and imagination. Their first-ever Czech audio game was Evidence 111 (2020). Chess Play (2022) was released in collaboration with Czech Radio. Both games are optimised for visually impaired players.
