The game is an exploration of imagination. Featuring hand-painted artwork, precise animation, eerie sounds and an original score by the British composer Joe Acheson a.k.a. Hidden Orchestra, the game takes players into a mysterious world full of logic puzzles and strange phenomena. The player ventures into unexplored corners of a mysterious mansion inhabited by peculiar creatures and furniture monsters. Solve dozens of carefully designed puzzles, search for hidden paintings and uncover a great mystery.
The concept was created by the artist Radim Jurda as his diploma thesis at Prague’s Academy of Fine Arts Film and TV Graphics Studio.
A large part of the game was hand-painted with a gel pen and watercolour on paper.
The game features 35 collectible oil paintings.
The game was inspired by the pareidolia phenomenon, i.e. the tendency to recognize objects in abstract or random shapes, such as seeing animals in clouds or monsters in dark shadows.
The main character was inspired by Amanita Design Producer Lukáš Kunce.
Rather than big problems, there were tiny issues, mostly technical, that we did not see coming. Resolving them took a long time.
